How do you handle criticism?

I don’t know about you, but I hate feeling that I’ve tried my best but it wasn’t what was wanted or needed. That hurts!

I’ve come to realize that I’ve got to become more humble and a “learner” if I want to grow. I cannot keep doing things the way I think they should be done and get angry when others are not appreciative.

God give grace to the humble, so I am putting myself into the stream of God’s grace when I become humble and a learner. I don’t have all the answers. Really.

Dear God,

Help me to be a learner. Help me to not always have the need to be right. Help me to care more about others than I do about my defence.

I need much more of your grace. Please continue your life lessons for they are the only way to real life.

I love you,

Amen.

being authentic

Who are you when you are alone. No one there. By yourself?

Are you the same person who is praising God in the sanctuary? The person friends call up for prayer and advice?

If you take time to speak and listen to God throughout the day, then yes. You are the same inside as out. But if you are going on yesterday’s Bible Promise. Or last week’s Memory Verse, there is every chance that you are pretty much running on empty. Nothing in – Nothing out.

If we are to be ready “in season and out of season” then we have to build up our faith by the reading of the Word. Speaking to God constantly. Listening for His voice telling us when to speak and what to say. It isn’t enough to just desire to grow in grace. It actually takes some determination to spend time meditating upon the word of God and letting the Holy Spirit reveal what it means for you – today.

You can be the same inside as out. God doesn’t condemn us for trying. He is the great encourager! Stay in His word, listen to His voice, sing His praises. You will be the person God has called you to be!

Blessing for Today

There is no way that God will reject a Good Person.

Job 8:14-21 (MSG)
They hang their life from one thin thread, they hitch their fate to a spider web. One jiggle and the thread breaks, one jab and the web collapses. Or they’re like weeds springing up in the sunshine, invading the garden, Spreading everywhere, overtaking the flowers, getting a foothold even in the rocks. But when the gardener rips them out by the roots, the garden doesn’t miss them one bit. The sooner the godless are gone, the better; then good plants can grow in their place. There’s no way that God will reject a good person, and there is no way he’ll help a bad one. God will let you laugh again; you’ll raise the roof with shouts of joy.

BLESSING PRAYER
I bless you with honesty, integrity and trustworthiness in everything, may God be your top priority.

Grace be to Me!

Dear Prayer Partner, let us pray together.

Grace to be Me

For many years I simply could not accept myself. I felt inferior and unacceptable to God. One day I sat aside my pride, called upon the name of the Lord, and He answered me. I no longer saw Him as a demanding God but a loving Father who accepted me with all my imperfections, and it was all by His grace. God’s grace cannot be earned; it can only be received; it is a free commodity in God’s economy. The dictionary defines grace as unmerited love and favor of God; divine influence acting in the person to make to make the person pure and morally strong. As you grow in grace God brings you to completeness of personality. He is working mightily in you!

PRAYER:

Father, I thank You for salvation. By grace I have been saved through faith…it is the gift of God. Sin shall no longer be my master, because I am under grace. Your grace is sufficient for me—for every situation that I face today—for Your strength is made perfect in weakness . From the fullness of Your grace we have all received one blessing after another in the name of Jesus. Amen.
