Who are you when you are alone. No one there. By yourself?

Are you the same person who is praising God in the sanctuary? The person friends call up for prayer and advice?

If you take time to speak and listen to God throughout the day, then yes. You are the same inside as out. But if you are going on yesterday’s Bible Promise. Or last week’s Memory Verse, there is every chance that you are pretty much running on empty. Nothing in – Nothing out.

If we are to be ready “in season and out of season” then we have to build up our faith by the reading of the Word. Speaking to God constantly. Listening for His voice telling us when to speak and what to say. It isn’t enough to just desire to grow in grace. It actually takes some determination to spend time meditating upon the word of God and letting the Holy Spirit reveal what it means for you – today.

You can be the same inside as out. God doesn’t condemn us for trying. He is the great encourager! Stay in His word, listen to His voice, sing His praises. You will be the person God has called you to be!
